Tell the story...

Last night I had the opportunity to walk with a friend and share our mutual Camino experiences. The Georgia heat and humidity was a formidable opponent as we made our way up and down some mountain trails. After concluding our walk we had the opportunity to enjoy some dinner and continue the conversation.

My friend is wise, and there are many things that I took away from our conversation. The one I want to share with you today is...

"Tell the story..."

Reflect on the moments, memories and graces that have blessed your life, and then tell the story.

Tell your family. Tell your friends. Tell your dog, or simply speak it out loud to yourself.

Why? To remember.

There are 100 million things that this busy world is yelling in your direction, all trying to get your attention.

Telling your stories of graces and blessings will bring you back to the place where you may remember the beauty of those moments. Those moments where our heavenly Father poured out mercy and grace on you.

Someone hearing your story may be listening for the first time, and in a place where the mysterious wonder that we know as Papa may finally pour light and life into their broken heart.

Your story may be the very thing that Papa uses to guide their way back home

Tell your story, if for no other reason that it may continue to accompany you in your memory, on your journey, in your heart.

I'll see you down the road...
